The Greening of NATO

Joschka Fischer is the most prominent leader of the Green Party in Germany. His controversial stance in support of sending German troops to participate in the NATO implementation force in Bosnia has split the pacifist Greens and marks a significant shift in the complexion of Germany's post-Cold War politics.

Fischer spoke with NPQ from Bonn just after the Green Party Congress in Bremen late last year.
