Hong Kong - On July 1, 1997, Hong Kong became a Special Administrative Region of China. This symbolized the beginning of a new era for Hong Kong. At this significant juncture in our history, it is appropriate for us to ask ourselves who we are. What are the values we stand for? And what is the social fabric that ties us together? These points need to be crystallized in order for our community to move forward with clarity of direction and unity of purpose.
