Berkeley - My job as a scientist is to study the
nature and causes of climate change. In April 1994, I was invited to act
as Convening Lead Author of one chapter of a report by the Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change. The IPCC was established by the United Nations
in 1988 to keep governments apprised of our scientific understanding of
climate change.
