Looking at Latin America's Future

Carlos Fuentes, a member of NPQ's advisory board, is Mexico's foremost writer. Jose Saramago, the Portuguese novelist, was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1998. Saramago's works include The Stone Raft and The History of the Siege of Lisbon.

They sat down together in Guadalajara, Mexico, to discuss the issues Latin American will face in the 21st century.
