From North Atlantic Neoliberalism to Market Pluralism

Carlos Salinas De Gortari is the former President of Mexico. Robert Mangabeira Unger is professor of law at Yale University. This article is based on the ideas contained in a longer essay by the two authors in the winter issue of Challenge magazine. Dublin - The current crisis, spreading out from Asia and affecting countries as diverse as Brazil and Russia, has revealed that the global capital market is no savior. As the financial markets ride the roller coaster of boom and bust, mania and panic, they can do real harm to real economies.
